## Presentation

In the current digital era, the integration of digital technologies, including advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, has profoundly transformed communication, work, and social interactions, also redefining the educational environment. This evolution highlights the importance of developing digital skills and competencies, not only to use these technologies but also to understand and coexist with them. AI, in particular, challenges traditional concepts by introducing capabilities that go beyond binary responses, including the generation of creative content, which was considered an exclusively human prerogative.

Education must therefore adapt to prepare students for a rapidly changing world, where digital skills are essential in the job market and where Computational Thinking becomes a valuable tool for problem-solving in various areas of knowledge. Educators face the challenge of forming individuals prepared for the present, in a context of constant technological changes that affect all aspects of daily life.

The inclusion of AI in the educational curriculum is not just a matter of technical training, but also of preparation for the social and ethical impacts of this technology. Teaching AI from fundamental and middle school levels is crucial to harness its opportunities, mitigate risks, and understand its implications. In Brazil, the standardization of Computing in Basic Education, aligned with the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), marks an important step in this direction, establishing guidelines for the inclusion of Computing and AI teaching in schools, thus preparing new generations for a future where technology and innovation will be even more central.
